Work Less? Don’t You Mean Work More?

Working Less for a living is a great concept. But can it really be done?

Yes! It’s all about strategy. Think about it for a minute.

If you’re working for an employer you’re basically settling for someone else setting your lifestyle for you.

How many hours you work
How many days holiday a year
How much you earn
Your place of work
Your exact working hours

All these things dictate how and when you live. You’re at your place of employment for a set amount of hours, and quite reasonably you could do the same amount of work in half the time. Cut out the travel time, the coffee breaks, chats with colleagues, waiting for emails, the three flights of stairs to the photocopy room etc, you really could fulfill your position and save the rest of the day to live a little. Sound familiar?

By working for yourself and starting your own business, suddenly you’re in the drivers seat. You can really take control.

You set how many hours you will work
You set your holidays
You set your Earnings
You set where you work
You set your exact working hours

By taking control, you will open the doors to new ways of living. you will control your own lifestyle and your business can, if planned and managed properly, be built around you.

This can mean;

Working less hours
Taking holidays with family when you want
Setting your own earning potential
Working closer to home or from home
Deciding which hours suit your lifestyle

With careful planning, you can fit 8 hours work into 4 quite easily, leaving more time for you, more time for family, friends, hobbies, travel, leisure interests and so much more. So you really can work less!

Creating a Lifestyle Business that suits you really changes everything. Of course, sometimes, starting a business means you work more hours initially, but once the set up phase is over, you control the tactics you employ to give yourself more free time. Hard work never hurt anyone. Work strategy however, has changed peoples lives.

Do You agree? Do you run your own business? How has it changed the way you live/work? Comment below
